I wanted to share this major update – this will be the last production update before the game starts shipping in the next 2 weeks!
Production Update
So, the game is in the final stages of production on the first 500 orders. I’ve included several pictures to share. I’ve enlisted my whole family to work on producing the game making pieces, assembling games, and I’m printing maps daily. Additionally, because of the whole potential trade-war and tariff’s in early January I researched and converted most of the production of the game right out of my house. ¾’s of the game is made right here in Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA. The only things I can’t currently produce is the game box, cards, and plastic pieces such as game dice and hazard gems. That said, I’ve invested in the equipment to be able to make custom dice, hazard gems, and will even be able to 3D print miniatures for future games going forward which will elevate the experience and provide even more exciting ways to immerse yourself in the simulation. It will also enable me to produce some really cool swag and memorabilia.
All this to say, I’m just waiting for the game cards to be received from the Eastar Board Games factory in China to finish the game assembling and ship the first 500 orders. Fun fact 225 cards per game x 2000 units = 450,000 cards being shipped to me. After the first 500 orders ship I’ll get the rest of the 1500 games cranked out and shipped asap in waves. Shipping Update
Domestic Shipping
If you have received an email from Easyship and paid for your shipping you are all set and don’t need to do anything else.
If you have not received an email – let me know and I’ll get back to you when I can to get you squared away. You won’t be forgotten. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. If you have not paid for your shipping, please do so right away otherwise your order will be delayed.
International Shipping
Okay – so there has been a number of issues with Easyship and international shipping. As I shared in the last email, I had officially requested to have all international shipping orders who prepaid import and duty taxes refunded – about 192 of you due to the errors with the software. I’ve received a lot of questions about how this is going to work. I have finally received a response from Easyship. Please know that things don’t happen instantaneously, and I can’t always provide an immediate answer, so your patience is appreciated.
I’m happy to say that Easyship has agreed to refund international shipping for those who prepaid import and duty taxes. You are not affected if you did not prepay import and duty taxes. Refunds will happen automatically – you don’t need to do anything. Easyship should refund your payment directly to your card. Per the screenshot below of the response from Easyship you won’t receive any notification on the refund from Easyship but it should happen in the next 5-10 business days. Moving forward the option to prepay import and duty taxes will be disabled. Note – you will have to pay these when the game arrives, but it will be the correctly calculated amount and in your local currency.
Be warned! If you refuse to pay the import and duty taxes and the game is returned to me, I get charged for the return shipping. If this happens, I will not refund the game costs, and the game will be forfeit according to the return policy and the shipping disclaimer you agree to when completing the shipping survey and payment.
Lastly, I will have to re-upload international shipping for those who prepaid taxes and are getting refunded in Easyship. When I do, you’ll get another email to go in an repay for shipping. This time minus the import and duty taxes.
