This purchases 1 student admission to the upcoming Certified Disaster Wargaming Instructor (CDWI) - L5 Facilitator/L4 Instructor Combo Course (16 hours in-person).
Upon purchasing students will receive a digital file download with course location, times, agenda and details. Upon completion of the course participants will receive a certificate of training and will be Certified as Level 4 Disaster Wargaming Instructors.
Lunch will be provided and is included with the course admission.

Level 4 Disaster Wargame – Instructor Certificate
At the instructor level, participants can expect to build upon skills obtained from the basic facilitator level of the disaster wargaming curriculum, and implement intermediate practice-focused skills in design, delivery and after-action reporting of intermediate-level disaster wargames. In addition, this certificate will begin to hone in skill-building in engagement campaign development and narrative-driven storytelling to mold and manage game-flow. Emphasis on adult-learning strategies will be introduced to build practical facilitation skills for participants as they become intermediate-level facilitators.
Level 5 Disaster Wargame - Facilitator Certificate
The Emergency Management Disaster Gaming (EMDG) Facilitator Certificate is designed to prepare participants to facilitate, and evaluate wargaming as an applied learning and analytical tool. This certification establishes a foundational understanding of wargaming principles, history, and methodology. Participants will be equipped to guide wargame players through structured scenarios that simulate real-world decision environments. Graduates of this program will be able to deliver basic wargaming instruction that integrates theory, storytelling, and facilitation techniques to build decision-making skills, strategic thinking, and collaborative problem-solving across sectors. The certificate serves as the first professional qualification in the Disaster Wargaming training pathway, enabling participants to instruct at the foundational level and contribute to broader preparedness, policy testing & analysis, and capacity-building initiatives.
